Terms for using SocietyAudit
Last updated: 6 August 2026
These terms govern access to SocietyAudit, a financial intelligence and reporting service for apartment associations and cooperative housing societies. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. What the service does
SocietyAudit accepts supported bank statements and ledger files, normalizes transaction records, and provides AI-assisted narratives, findings, forecasts, and reports. Features, formats, limits, and providers may change as the service develops.
2. Account and workspace responsibility
- Provide accurate account and workspace information and keep it current.
- Only invite people who are authorised to access the society workspace.
- Keep sign-in credentials and access links private and notify us of suspected misuse.
- Ensure the society has the right to upload and process the records provided to the service.
3. Uploaded records and reports
You retain rights in the records you upload and the information your society provides. You give SocietyAudit permission to process those records only as needed to operate the service, generate requested analysis, provide support, maintain security, and improve reliability.
Reports are generated from the information available to the service. You are responsible for checking source records, correcting errors, and deciding whether a report is suitable for committee, audit, AGM, tax, or regulatory use.
4. AI output is decision support
AI explanations, classifications, risk indicators, forecasts, and recommendations are assistive outputs. They are not accounting, audit, tax, legal, investment, or statutory advice and do not replace a qualified Chartered Accountant, auditor, lawyer, or committee review.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use SocietyAudit to break the law, upload data without authority, attempt to access another tenant, interfere with the service, bypass security, reverse engineer the service, or use outputs to make decisions about people without appropriate review and authority.
6. Availability and third-party services
SocietyAudit is provided on an availability basis and does not promise uninterrupted access or a particular processing time unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Authentication, storage, hosting, queueing, and AI analysis may depend on third-party providers and their availability and terms.
7. Plans, fees, and changes
Any applicable plan, price, billing period, usage limit, tax, cancellation rule, or refund term will be shown at checkout or in a written order. We may change plans or features with reasonable notice. A change to a plan does not change responsibility for charges already incurred.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address non-payment. You may stop using the service and request account or workspace deletion subject to the Privacy Policy, applicable agreements, and information that must be retained for legitimate purposes.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent allowed by law, SocietyAudit is not responsible for decisions made solely from an unverified report, errors in source files, service interruptions caused by third parties, or loss caused by unauthorised access resulting from a user’s failure to protect credentials. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Contact and governing law
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@societyaudit.com. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, these terms are intended to be governed by applicable Indian law, subject to any mandatory rights available to the user.
